This is a SUPAFANGSTA shout and appreciation for our braddah Goldi Gold. This is a compilation of some of the work he has done over the years for others. This is not even the half of it but just enough to say, “DANG, Goldi gets it in!” He has supported so many people inside as well as outside our community. Always giving whether it’s positive energy, art or words of wisdom. Keep in mind he does this while maintaining his own situation. You wouldn’t hear him complain either. Well, not too much . HAAAAA! For all he does it’s only right that we celebrate him. Happy Borndayeth Champion belt. Live it up. Enjoy that time for your self and if you need anything brah, I got you. To everybody else, take the time to see how the god Goldi feeling sometime. Never know what he may be going through. FANGGG! An EXTRA shout out to the Jacksons (Taj & Amond) for the idea. Kool Herc Fundraiser Flyer!

Just a little something I worked up for this event. I had a substantial enough time to complete but not sure with the direction. So I did two different ones and chose the most effective. At least in my eyes. It was a last minute decision. I already colored the first idea and as of the day I was going to turn it in… I changed my mind and colored this one. Yeah, I can be indecisive at times. I’m always picky about my art though. Just the life. HAAAAAAA! I commend the others who are way more comfortable than me. FANGGGGGG!!! Make sure y’all come out to support too. It’s the Father y’all! If it wasn’t… well, you should already know!!

“Pronouns” Book Cover

This is A book cover I just completed called “Pronouns” by JoVonna Rodriguez. It is due out this month so be on the look out. Words from the Author:

Pronouns categorizes life through writing, often separated by visions and experience. A collection of poetry and prose describing every aspect of human existence, relating every emotion, and highlighting every struggle and success. Pronouns is something everyone can feel.

Jovonna Rodriguez:

JoVonna Rodriguez is finally exploring her appreciation for life through writing. Originally from Rochester, NY, she moved to Atlanta to pursue an education; graduating with a Bachelor’s in History from Emory University. In the mist of finding her professional path, she finally embraced her vocational passion of writing.

Finding her work to be more than personal therapy but a necessity for survival, she began to share her poetry on various sites branded by the alias: Joski Diesel. With the support of friends, the power of social media, the knowledge to set things in motion, and the determination to accomplish her goals, she launched her blog to showcase her talents and thoughts: www.joskidiesel.com.

Fresh Heir: The Inheritance (Part 1)!

This is a cover I rocked the braddah “ARABLAK”. A pleasure to complete the Artwork for his first release. It’s a three part series so be on the look out for the other two! FANG, FANGGG! The first one is called “The Inheritance”. Basically the beginning, where he embraced the Hip-Hop culture. For the love of the art. That fresh feeling of Mceeing. I think I repped that. Clan Destined Artwork!!!

Well, it’s been a month since my last post. I’ve been reflecting as well as getting some work completed fresh for the New Year. First up… We have the completion of Clan Destined ‘New’ Album “Self Titled”. A really , really DOPE piece of work. These young brother are wise beyond their years and it shows in the music. I knew they wanted some illustrations but I didn’t know what style I was going to flip for this… yet did. I’m working on a couple of music projects now so I wanted them all to stand alone. For the art to really present the energy the music possess.

So things started with this sketch. Took a minute because these dudes are distinct. DT got the skinny chubby face and Amdex got some thick ass eyebrows. HAAAA!

Next was the trace and color. This was the first version:

Looked good but… I needed more. So I worked at it because once I had the illustration… everything else would flow. Worked on it and… arrived at this:

Let me just say I’m pleased. You can see the entire art work at their album release party this Sat. at 529. Whole up…

YAPPED: Ode to 2010!!

Aight peoples, it’s been a longgggggggggg time since I posted some Art. I’ve been getting into a new direction or atleast… tried to figure out one. I forgot to just let my moods move it sometimes and my vision was, lets just say stagnate. This is prolly the first piece of work that I did for myself since “Asstronomical” and “It Could Be”(within the last set of prints I made). It has been a powerful year. Emotionally… I got beat the fuck up. HAAAAA! On the other side of that, I accomplished a lot. Did some things I never did before. Handled situations when I thought I couldn’t. I’ve hurt people and I’ve been hurt. I did a lot of growing and I have all of you to thank. Not just the supporters but every one and anything that added to my life(soul experience).

This is for all of y’all out there who didn’t let self beat self out of being free. Who didn’t let their emotions control the outcome. Hears to New perspective! FOOOSHHHHH! This piece is called “YAPPED” because that’s how I felt this week. I sketched after a long night of frustration. My computer was crashing. A ten year contract ended. Major Bills to pay. Projects to complete.You know the same things you all experience. Instead of wildin’ out, I got business. Oh yeah that is me in the illustration. Notice the escaping hairline. HAAAAAA! Roll with the punches and punch back. Make sure you connect though. HAAA! I couldn’t do it by myself so another shout to Y’all. Greater things are on the horizon so lets create what it is we want. Yo, this brother right here is my mothasucking brotha from another fine asiatic family. You damn right… “GOLDI GOLD”! Yesterday was his Bornday and while he celebrated, I know others was celebrating him. Gold is always willing to help out just to see people moving forward. NAh Mean? He helps me out a lot. Lets me know when I’m wildin’, lets me know when I’m right and exact. I appreciate that champ. I know he helps out a lot of other people too. And shit… He created a huge amount of art work for y’all. Mostly the people who are in the struggle of making themselves a success. It’s only right that I hook him up with an Art piece. Just showing some love back. Thanks for everything brother.
